Dr. Shahul Hameed is the young, dynamic CEO and MD of the Crescent Global Education (CGE), the corporate holding entity of the group that focuses on Education, Healthcare and Research.

Dr. Shahul Hameed K. is an accomplished educationist, entrepreneur, academic leader and institution builder whose professional journey spans academia, international business, digital education, healthcare management, research and social development. He is the Founder & Chairman of Crescent Educational and Charitable Trust and the CEO & Managing Director of Crescent Global Education (CGE), the corporate holding entity of the group with a strategic focus on Education, Healthcare, Research and Skill Development.

Dr. Shahul holds M.Com, MBA, M.Sc. in Healthcare Management and a Ph.D. His academic and professional interests reflect a multidisciplinary approach to education, management and institutional development. He is also an alumnus of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Academic & Professional Leadership

Dr. Shahul began his career in higher education as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Management Studies at Noorul Islam College of Engineering, Kumaracoil. He subsequently served as an Assistant Professor at Allama Iqbal Institute of Management, Thiruvananthapuram, establishing a strong foundation in teaching, academic administration and management education.

His career subsequently expanded into the international arena with Quality Computing Service Ltd., Saudi Arabia, where he assumed the position of CEO (International). In this capacity, he was associated with organisational transformation, international operations and the strategic development of education-focused business initiatives. Building Education Ecosystems A defining feature of Dr. Shahul's leadership has been his commitment to creating institutions and platforms that connect education, technology, employability and social development.

Through Crescent Educational and Charitable Trust, he has pursued the vision of “Lifting Up Society with Hands of Help,” with initiatives focused on education, skill development, community advancement and access to learning opportunities.

He has been instrumental in the development of educational initiatives including the Crescent Institute of Management & Research, Jaipur, and has promoted vocational and technology-oriented education through initiatives associated with Edu Gulf and the Crescent Institute of Technology and Management. His commitment to community development is also reflected in the development of Crescent Community College, envisioned as a technology-enabled institution providing skill development and employment-oriented programmes to young people in his native region.

Digital Education & Innovation

Dr. Shahul has placed strong emphasis on the role of technology and digital transformation in education. His professional vision encompasses e-learning platforms, digital academic content, technology-enabled student services, vocational education and institutional collaborations.

His approach is centred on building education systems that are accessible, industry-relevant, technology-enabled and globally oriented.

Research & Academic Contributions

Since entering the education sector in 2001, Dr. Shahul has remained actively engaged in academic and research activities. He has guided doctoral scholars in various universities in India and abroad and has contributed publications in areas including Management Science and Corporate Social Responsibility. He has also been associated with editorial and expert responsibilities with international management journals.
